Total distribution in millions (BRL)

The total amount distributed by UBC was R$ 368.1 million. This amount represented an increase of 11.82% in relation to 2015. A portion of 98.62% refers to public performance of musical works in local territory and this amount is 46.3% of the total distributed by Ecad to all the societies.

Quantity of right holders benefited in the distribution (in thousands)

156 thousand right holders were benefited in 2016, a volume 58% greater than in 2015. This leap in number of contemplated members was due to the beginning of streaming.

DISTRIBUTION OF PREVIOUSLY UNIDENTIFIED MUSICAL WORKS AND RECORDINGS

The result which stood out in 2016 was fruit of a long-term investment in technology. A business intelligence tool was developed to more efficiently match previously unidentified musical works and recordings, making it possible to release and distribute R$ 62.2 million,

corresponding to 17% of the total distribution.

In relation to the total previously unidentified musical works and recordings released in Ecad, 57% were paid to members represented by UBC.
